bittersweet
I had a wonderful time the few days I spent at ArtFest but cut my trip short after learning that my father-in-law was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. His final prognosis will be determined by more tests he will undergo this week. We are all just stunned and still trying to absorb this terrible news. I will post and respond to comments whenever I can - thanks for your support and understanding.

May you find the strength to deal with your FIL's demise. In 2005 I lost my FIN to lung cancer six months after diagnosis. I am now caring for a 91 year old, quite forgetful mother and an 87 yo father, who's had 2 heart attacks in the past year and has one foot in the Great Beyond and the other on a banana peel ... It isn't easy, I aknow. I also have a 15 yo doggie who is beginning to show kidney problems ... I imagine these trials are sent us for a reason .. It's only for God to know the big picture.
I pray your trials will not come at too great a cost.
Find strength in your friends, loved-ones and your art. It's the only way.
Someone Who knows what you're going through
